Everything went great! His heart rate is still in the 150's...she had a hard time getting an exact because he kept dancing away from the Doppler. She said that they will be keeping a close eye on me because of my hypothyroidism and my PCOS. I failed my one hour glucose pretty bad so she is pretty confident that I will fail this 3 hour. But that's ok because I had it with DD so I know how to take care of myself. The only scary part is that she is worried I could end up with preeclampsia so she is going to keep a close eye on that too. But overall it was a good appointment because at the moment everything is good and I have an idea what to do to try to avoid some potential problems.

My sister had gd with both her kids, 2nd one they tested her early because she failed so bad with the first. 2nd kid she even ended up on insulin, but she never had any signs of pre-e. hope you can avoid it!

I hope you just have the gd complication. I've never had it, but my body forces me to eat like a diabetic while pg. Not too fun, but its not horrible! Its so good for the baby! They don't end up huge, just nice and average.

No my blood pressure has always been perfect. They tested me for the GD really early because of all the complications I had with DD. I'm at a high risk for it anyway with the thyroid issues and the PCOS. Because I'm a borderline diabetic even without being pregnant because of it. But normally I don't think they test you till like 28 weeks I think. I'm glad they caught it early though so we can decrease everything I went through the first time. She said as long as I stay aware and try really hard that I should be able to keep everything under control so I'm excited about that. And she finally gave me the go ahead to start walking!! I haven't been able to the whole pregnancy!

Glad to hear all is well with your little one, bummer on failing the 1HR.

Interesting that she thinks that you could be at risk for Pre-E? I'd be asking why. I was lead to believe that it is less likely with each additional pregnancy that you have, unless you have a new partner, & then your risk is the same as it was for a first baby.

DD18, DD16, DD15, DS13, DN12, DS7, DD4, DD2

Expecting a surprise bebe - November 3rd

Yuck the 3 hr one sounds not fun. But at least it's getting checked early.

I'm at risk because I have hypothyroidism, Gestational diabetes (probably), PCOS, and this is my first child with my husband. I have had protein in my urine twice now but they think it was just an infection because the 24 hour scan was perfectly normal.
