Okay, silly question for you breastfeeding mamas - does your baby prefer one breast over the other?

With my last one, it was my right, but with Xavier, it's definitely my left. I don't know if it has to do with how I hold him on one side versus the other, but when he gets overtired, it's tough to get him to latch on the right side.

She'll take either most of the time now, but early on she had more trouble on the left. I had to use the football hold on that side. And every once in a while she will still have trouble.

Darion Prefers the left because it gives up the milk easier. Even when I am pumping it is the first to start really flowing with milk.

She much prefers the right. At first it would take me forever to get her to latch the left and then she would only stay on for about a min(maybe). She is better about it now but if she is over tired or too cranky she still wont take it.

I am not nursing

But my left side has way more milk production that my right ... I can usually get about 4-5oz out of my left side and only about 3 out of my right (if I'm lucky)

Ingrid latches better on the right and it seems to do double the production level- maybe because she has a better latch there!

Mine prefers the right side because my left side is like drinking from a firehose (I imagine). My left produces a ton with an over active letdown so she has to really gulp on that side. I think the right side is more relaxing for both of us.
