I have a theory that babies are either good nappers or good night time sleepers. Of course at this age the term "good" is relative. What do you think? Does your baby have a preference?

L is an awesome night time sleeper. Not so much on the naps. Some days he takes a nap and others not at all but we almost always have a good nights sleep

Ava sleeps good at night and not so much at naps. But it's weird cause some days she will be awake all day and others she wants to sleep during the day (if being held). She will go 3 or 4 days at going to bed at 9am then other nights its midnight, just when I think she is on some kind of schedule she changes it up.

It holds true for mine. He's a great night-time sleeper, not a good napper.

Right now she's sleeping fairly well at night, and not really taking good naps. She's been through various phases, though. It'll be interesting to see if that holds true! Grace has always been a good sleeper.

I feel like he sleeps pretty well at both times. My last one was definitely a better napper than she was a nighttime sleeper, though.

My first was a great napper and terrible night time sleeper. This one seems to be the opposite. I can get her to sleep during the day but she wakes up after 15 minutes or so every time. Nights are better by comparison.

Alex does much better at night. He does nap during the day but mostly if we are in the car when we are home he mostly naps in the sling. He doesn't sleep in his bed during the day well at all

Alice sleeps great at night, and only naps in her swing during the day. She seems to alternate nap days, too, napping a lot one day, and barely at all the next day.

Ryder is up to eat every 3 hours at night and goes right back to sleep. He has a little half hour nap in the morning, then a 2-3 hour nap in the after noon. Then again he will have a short nap around dinner and goes down for the night around 9 or 930. He is only ever awake for like 2 or 3 hours at a time in the day.

I guess he's pretty good at both. I can't wait till he's only up once in the night.
