Ugh. I just had to run to the pharmacy to buy some Milk of Magnesia. I haven't been constipated up until now, although that could be because I was taking Colace the first few days post partum. The problem is it still hurts to sit on the toilet for more than 30 seconds because of my stitches. They feel like they're going to rip right out if I sit any longer than that. Any suggestions on how to lessen the pain? I've tried spraying Dermaplast down there first, but no luck.

Hopefully you feel better soon. I would say stay with the Colace and eat prunes. I know. Yuk. It does make it easier. Also, a cold pack in the area could feel good.

Try more fibery foods. That's really my only advice. I eat 3-4 granola bars per day and that keeps me pretty regular.
