How will you announce the gender? Will you just make a simple FB announcement, or will it be something like a gender reveal party, photoshoot, etc?

We find out what it is next Friday, but we're going to do a photoshoot with my lovely friend it's cheaper than a party and i dont have to clean

Just a regular announcement to friends and family either by phone or FB. I've never been one to get all elaborate.

Well.... we were going to just wait until birth, but DH wants to tell... soooo...

Since we've never done it before: We're going to have a gender reveal cake made for the grandparents. They all live at least 11 hours away, so we'll just order a little 2 person cake to be made at their local bakery and they will take the cake home and cut into it and VOILA they have their answer!

My mom will be visiting my brother around that time, so perfect! They can have a gender reveal cake together at his house.

As far as everyone else, I'm sure the grandparents will tell all the family, and then we'll tell friends when they ask.

For home, I'll also do a gender reveal for the kids with a cake and box of balloons that they get to open

Nothing special here. Just tell family members and maybe a facebook announcement.

If it is a girl I am going to have a shirt made for my 5 year old that says "All I want for Christmas is a baby sister." On the front and something like "this year I'm getting her" on the back. He has wanted a baby sister forever and was very sad when he got a brother instead last time.

I thought about doing a gender reveal party but I will probably be too excited to wait lol
It took three years to get pregnant with my first and surprisingly I had my second 19 months after him!

Our u/s appt will be just a few days before both my DH and MIL's birthdays. My MIL is turning 60 and will be here to watch the kids, so I want to do something fun for the reveal. Not sure what to do yet.

We are going to do a mini party and either do balloons or a cake. I really can't decide! Either way we are going to let Greyson cut the cake or open the balloons. This will be done for local family. Then I will take a picture of Greyson holding both colors of balloons and do a multi snap of him letting go of one for Facebook

I've always wanted to do a big gender reveal, but we have never lived near family and our friends are all insanely busy, so it's never really been a possibility. So I'll call/text family and then announce it online. :/
Thanks to babydoll213 for the siggy! My kids' blog Cora's blog

We were going to have my in laws and my parents com for dinner the night of my ultrasound and dessert was going to be gender reveal cupcakes. I was going to film DD and put it on Facebook. We've since found out there's a family reunion that day and evening (on a Monday ) so I'm not sure what we will do.
