What are some things you learned about taking out baby thus far or with your older children?
What things can you say to calm new moms fears about going out with baby or putting baby in their cAar seat?

I learned that putting Mac in the middle with the older kids on either side was a bad idea...Kiefer can't help but grab all over her. After rearranging car seats with Jaleigh in the middle, we are a much happier traveling circus

I remember the first time I took Lily somewhere by myself. I couldn't figure out how to get her carseat off the base. After like 10 minutes struggling, I had to call DH for him to laugh at me and then tell me how to do it. I should have been a blonde. So if you know how to operate the carseat, you'll do fine!

Also, think of everything you could possibly need in your diaper bag and then double it. Henry's first outing to the pedi last week, I only packed 2 diapers because it's 10 minutes there, the appointment would be 10 minutes, and then 10 minutes home. Well sure enough he peed on the trip there and pooped during the appointment so I was crossing my fingers we could make it home without any more diapers.

Give yourself twice as much time. I have an 8 and 10 year old - and going places at their ages spoiled me. I am getting used to getting the stroller in and out of the trunk, remembering to add time into the schedule to nurse and change diapers. Definitely doable though. We go our every day as the kids have swim team each morning. Today it was swim team, then off to Michael's for 10 minutes (yes, I am realistic) and then to Barnes and Noble (which is in the same strip mall). Got the kiddos summer reading books. Now they need to behave and play until it is time at 4:30 to leave for a swim meet - which I will take Ellianna with me. I will need to get ready to leave the house by 4:00 as there will be a last minute nursing and changing.

I learned that at the end of the day there really isn't anything to be nervous about. I remember being a new Mom and being afraid of doing anything and everything for the first time. My advice would be: it gets easier, and hang tough! You are the child's Mother, and you are capable!
