So I've been going back and forth about what birth control to use. I have used BCP in the past but it's been years since I've used anything. I'm afraid to use anything hormonal because I have PCOS. I'm not sure if I want another child and if we ttc again I'm scared the hormones will make things worse(more difficult). Idk. Any other PCOSers or ladies with insight? I definitely don't want to risk another pregnancy so soon. Even if we decide to ttc that's about 2-3 yrs down the road.

****Thank you*Kiliki* for my beautiful siggy****

I have a couple different health issues that make conceiving difficult because of hormone issues the main being hyppothyroidism... I was on depo... it did have a lil weight gain but for me it was in the right spots :-). It took me 18 mth to conceive but our sex pattern wasn't ttc friendly... we discuased this on fb group too

I have PCOS as well. After my DS I used the Depo Provera injection, and I know it definitely screwed up TTC for a long time afterward. However, I decided to go with the Depo again this time because A: after just having twins we REALLY don't want to risk an unplanned baby and B: I'm nursing so my options are limited and C: I'm pretty terrified that the mini pill would just regulate my cycle since my PCOS messes with my hormone levels, and that the mini pill would actually make it easier to get pregnant. Lol.
I know hormonal BC messes up my PCOS and makes me way worse after the fact, but I figure I'll deal with that later. Right now I'm much more concerned about prevention.
Good luck!

I'm with you. Pcos here too and I want to avoid any hormonal birth control. I've done the pill before and def don't want it again. I had an IUD and that sucked for me (mirena) so I won't get that again. I thought about Implanon because a friend had it and really had no side effects and its good for 5 years unless you have it removed. I haven't done my research yet though so I'm not sure if its a low hormone type of birth control. Well be using protection in the mean time

I've had so much issues on bc I just decided to use condoms. I hate condoms, but I hate the side effects of bc more.

I'm allergic to latex, cant remember to take pills and since we're 99% sure we're done having kids, I got an IUD.
