I had my first painful rib kick tonight. It feels like one of their feet is lodged up in my rib cage kicking a lung or something. I love those little kicks, and they're getting a lot stronger now, but that was not fun.

A couple of times I've had some pain in my upper belly, it feels like her toes are ramming into my placenta or something. OUCH! I love her little swishes and swirls though, and it is so WEIRD when she rolls over and I can feel either a head or a butt.

I have NEVER, ever! had kicks to the ribs. Never! My doc says it's cuz I'm so tall (6'1") there's *plenty* of room for them to flip around and stretch without really hitting any of my painful parts. I can't imagine!

With my first two kids, they each only kicked me in the ribs like once the entire pregnancy. With these twins, they are crazy. The girl especially likes to jam her legs up there. Not looking forward to the stronger and stronger kicks. Yikes. The rib kicks I am used to now since it's been going on for weeks, but the lung kicking is still so freaky to me. I try to coax them to stop. But the girl always, without fail, starts going for the ribs and lungs if I lay on my left side, which is where she hangs out. The boy is more chill and doesn't get me in the ribs as much.

I am 5'2" and my twins are swinging from my ribs. They swing from my ribs with their legs and punch my bladder, rectum and each other all day long.

I totally know what you mean! I don't think it's going to get much better either for the next 3 months.

DS2 was a rib kicker and it was quite uncomfortable at times. None of my other babies were rib kickers. This girl is pretty gentle but all over the place. Sometimes it feels like there are two in there because I'll feel pokes down low and then way up past my navel.
