We usually go to my in laws and then to my parents. However, my MIL died about 6 1/2 years ago and my FIL passed in August, so not sure how or when that side will get together. Will go to my parents and would love to begin some fun tradition.

We used to switch off families for the holidays, Thanksgiving was with my family last year, I think. But now that we're in our new house, we are hosting Thanksgiving this year, so everyone will be coming to us. Tim's parents, sister, and Aunt will bring some dishes, and my Mom and I will cook everything else at my house.

I'm hugely into Thanksgiving - I love to cook and autumn is my favourite season, so I'm big into decorating too.

In Canada, Thanksgiving is the same day as Columbus Day. It's not nearly as big a deal here. We didn't even have turkey. My dad doesn't like turkey, so he made a ham. Which we have at least once a month, so it wasn't even a special meal. Plus, it totally ruins the flow of the holidays... ThanksgivingHalloween-------------Christmas. It's much better to have all the holidays evenly spread out.

Can't wait to move back to the states next year and get back to Thanksgiving the way I want to do it.

We host both our families at our house. At least it is potluck so I don't have to cook for 15+ people.

We normally switch off each year between my dad and my MIL. We go to dinner at one and dessert at the other. Its suppose to be my dads year but I think we will do MIL's for dinner since she may still be in a wheelchair due to busting her ankle back in July.
