If money/time/distance to opportunity was not a barrier what would retrain for as a career?

I would be a nurse - much better hours for a working Mom (our local hospitals offer weekend status where you get FT benefits for 2 long days a week).

I used to think I wanted to be a chef. Although the older I get the more I realize that being a chef is physically grueling work and the hours aren't very condusive to a family life. There's a reason many people in the restaurant industry tend to hang out mostly with other restaurant people. They are the only ones who understand the crazy schedules.

ETA: I did actually retrain to my current job of computer programmer. It's what I should have done in the first place, but c'est la vie.

I went to school to teach K-5. When I graduated, I started teaching preschool. I wish I would have got my degree in early childhood education instead of elementary. But I'm 100% happy being a stay at home mom.
