Have you been teaching your baby any signs? Are they responding to/using them?

Not a fail! Grace learned a few signs but really didn't use them very long because she was an early talker. Anna knows and uses "milk." That's the only one I've taught her.

I have tried to teach her milk, more, all done and diaper. She hasn't really mastered any of the fine movements but she seems to clap her hands if she wants more of something and she kind of bounces her hands off her stomach to mean milk.

I taught my first daughter a bunch of signs and it really helped with her early talking because sometimes I had no idea what she was saying but she could do the sign at the same time and I knew what she wanted.

We sign. I use lots of signs throughout the day. Typically I use milk, all done, more, diaper, tub, play, book, kitty, friends, truck and I love you daily. OK, maybe not tub daily ; ) My kids use brother and sister and I use mommy, husband uses daddy. The only sign Xander uses with intent and correctly is milk. My oldest son had over 40 signs and used them. My daughter didn't ever sign as much. She used the basics and not too much more.
