How are the babies?

Are we all sleeping?

Give us an update.

How are the babies? Miranda is growing so fast. It's hard to believe we've reached six weeks. Health wise, the concerns with her left eye are about to be resolved. She was diagnosed with a congenital cataract - leaving her blind in that eye. Surgery is scheduled for the first week of February. Miranda's vision should be fully restored with no lingering effects. (Yay!) Next challenge -- contact lenses, patching, and glasses.

Are we all sleeping? Sleep? We're still cat-napping here. I'm thrilled that there is now at least one 3 hour stretch at night. Other that that, it's exhausting.

We're doing great! Thomas and Ashlyn are growing so fast. Thomas still seems smaller than Ashlyn, but when we weighed them last week he was only 2 oz smaller than her. They were 8 lbs 8 oz and 8 lbs 6 oz. Ashlyn has been smiling a lot and Thomas has just started cooing. We started putting them down on a playmat and they love it. Thomas looks all around and Ashlyn swats at the hanging toys.

They're eating every 4 hours and on demand at night. They have been sleeping anywhere from 4-5 1/2 hours at night. DH and I each take a feeding at night so I sleep from 11-6, getting up to pump at 2 and 6.

The days go by so fast between feeding, pumping, chores, and feeding myself. I feel like at this point I need to make more of an effort to stimulate them and play with them. Quite honestly I'm so focused on calming them down so I can do stuff I forget to play.

Whit has just entered the fussy stage, but it's not terrible. I feel like I am sleeping and all are adjusting well!

I think you are too kind. Kind people give the people around them a hard time. You can't express yourself honestly, because you are worried about hurting other people's feelings, and that makes you miserable.~"Winter Sonata"
