How do you bind off straight knitting? I just finished a scarf, but I just staright-knitted it for practice, can anyone tell me how to bind it off? Thanks.

Knit two stitches. Pass the first stitch over the second stitch so that it's off the needles. Knit one more stitch. Knit the first stich on the needle over this new stitch. Continue like this until there is only one stitch left. Cut the yarn and pull through this remain stitch.
There you go...you have bound off your item.
Have fun...this must means you've finished your first item...until you hace to weave in all those darn ends that is.
