Hello my name is Lauren and I am a mom to a beautiful 18 month old daughter. I'm seeking advice on how to handle tantrums. I'm only a mom to her so everything is new to me, so I don't really know if these behaviors are normal. She has been throwing herself on the floor, kicking and screaming, banging on the walls, and biting herself during a tantrum. ( Most tantrums are thrown because she gets something taken away that she knows she's not supposed to have. She has been hitting and kicking me as well. I don't want to spank her because I don't think spanking is a good way to teach her not to hit, but I'm at my wit's end. She's a wild child! She's always had rules and has been told no many times (a day). Any advice is appreciated! Thank you!
