Can being only a litle sick affect your cycle?

DH & both of my girls have been sick on & off for 3 weeks now. And while I haven't gotten fully sick (like them), I've been feeling kind of iffy for those past 3 weeks, like a very minor cold.

Could that mess up my cycle? I am on CD25 and see no elevatoion in temperature and almost no CM whatsoever. My cycles usually vary between 28-45 days and DH keeps saying that it's either b/c I am a bit sick or just a longer cycle and I still can ovulate. I just don't know. I take my temps at pretty much the same time each morning but my chart looks very zig-zag-y, going up & down all over.

When I am sick I rarely take my temperature because just about anything out of the ordinary will mess that up. With getting sick before ovulation there can be a delay in ovulation. Your body is trying to say that it can only handle one thing at a time and right now it is trying to get you better. That was when I had my 40 day cycle. I am 30-32 average. It is getting shorter now.

Illness can delay ovulation, it's normal! You still can ovulate at some point, so just keep tracking your CM carefully and stick to the pre-ovulatory rules of your method.
