Any guesses as to what's going on? It's been a particularly stressful month, so I was very much expecting to not ovulate and menstruate.
The bleeding looks old, it's mostly brown and pretty different from normal. There's a minimal amount of bright red, and I'm pretty positive I didn't ovulate this month.
Is it just a typical annovulatory cycle? Why would it be so short?

Thanks for taking the time

Stress can really mess with cycles!!! Ovulation is not confirmed on your last cycle, but judging by the mucus - it looks like your body gave it a try and then failed. Likely from the stress. That means this bleeding is NOT a true menstruation. It could be a breakthrough bleed, from rising estrogen, because your body is going to give ovulation another try. So consider it potentially fertile (and 3 dry days afterward). It's not actually the start of a new cycle, but you can chart it that way if you like.
