Hey ladies! I just recently heard about NFP for the first time on my Playroom and I must say I'm VERY interested in it as right now I'm using NO PROTECTIONG and do NOT want to get pregnant. I cant take any kind of hormone cause I always end up sick and don't really want to go through the disconfort of the IUD so this looks like the perfect method for me.

I was looking through your online resources and there are a ton of ways. I read through a few of them and now my eyes are crossed but just in your ladies opinion which is the best/easiest method. I read the first one and it looks so confusing.

Anyways I'm sure ya'll get alot of posts like this and I'll read through the past posts but just some opinion would be AWESOME!

Thank ya'll sooooo much!

Welcome Chandra! Yes, at first glance NFP can seem confusing - but no matter what method you choose, proper training is essential; having an instructor to walk you through it until you feel confident will reduce the confusion in a big way! It's kind of like tying your shoes. If you had to look at a diagram of how to tie shoelaces, it would look incredibly complicated! But once you learn to actually do it, it becomes second nature - you can do it without even really thinking about it. NFP is like that.

As for methods, the Billings Ovulation Method is the simplest. It only requires making mucus observations and has 4 rules to follow to avoid pregnancy. Illiterate and uneducated women in third world countries have been able to learn and use the method effectively, so that should give you an idea of how simple it is once you've had training in how to do it.

The other methods are really great too though, it's just a matter of sitting down with someone to learn how to use them no matter which one you pick!
