I know everybody has an "entertainment" or "spending money" budget. I'm just curious what that typically goes towards?

Ours typically goes towards things like movies (Redbox - so not really that much), books, golf, bowling, etc. It can also be used if we take a road trip back home. We keep a pretty low budget for stuff like that and don't use very much.

Ours depends on what is going on at the time. The last three months our extra money has gone to our new saltwater fish tank. It changes alot. We do go out to eat (to much) and are working to curb that. Our new item is some tattoos for the hubby and I so we are setting money aside while sticking to our new budget.

Thanks .:Shortcake:. for my great siggie

I don't keep a budget for entertainment. I make sure all of our bills are paid in full, savings/retirement/etc. accounts adequately funded, money set aside for groceries and then the rest can be spent on whatever we want. We don't even begin to spend 1/4 of it because we're pretty much homebodies, but what we don't spend goes back into a savings/retirement/etc. account at the end of the month and we start each month with just the paycheck DH gets on the 1st in the bank.
