How do you budget for the 4th of July?
Do you treat it like Christmas and just save up?
Do you just pull from your emergency fund to pay for fireworks or extra food for family?
Do you just not do anything out of the ordinary?

Thanks .:Shortcake:. for my great siggie

Yeah, we don't have a special budget because we don't do anything differently. We are probably going to buy a pack 'n' play this weekend because they are on sale and I have a coupon though.

4th of July is also my son's b-day. We usually do a cookout with family and kind of split the cost with my mom. Where my mom lives we can see fireworks from 4-5 different towns so everyone goes there on the 4th. We will do the meat, cake and some sides, my mom will do decorations and sides and drinks and my brother and cousins buy fireworks to set off. other family members will also bring sides or drinks if need be.

We usually do the cookout, go to my aunts (2 mins away) to swim, back to my moms for cake, ice cream, presents and then watch and set off fireworks

No special budgeting needed. I spent $2 on sparklers and the both were done halfway thru them.

We go to my mom's for dinner and to see the fireworks from her house.

In my book of stupid things people do, I feel spending a lot of money to merely blow something up is in the top ten.
