When's the last time you spent more than $100 that was not in your budget? I've done it 3 times in the past month.

(1) Fixed my car ($200)
(2) Vet for Puffy ($250)
(3) Bought a set of newborn cloth diapers dirt cheap from a going out of business sale ($215)

In my defense, it all goes on my really, really, really cool credit card... the one that pays ME to keep it open. I'll be getting an extra $15-20 toward my student loan for those purchases and won't have to pay interest on them.

About 2 weeks ago we paid a guy $100 to help DH plant trees. I helped last year, but there was no way I was getting out there this year and helping operate a giant machine-driven auger. It came out of a surplus in our gas/eating out envelopes and it was worth EVERY PENNY!!

Hmmmm...I *thought* I was gonna go over this month with my tooth issue. But they ended up being able to re-use the crown, so it only cost $67.00, plus we knew it was coming, so we'd budgeted for it, so I guess that doesn't count.
