it seems like this drug has changed my daughter's life! She's been diagnosed with sensory processing disorder since age 2, and recently also with ADHD. She is super smart, and an awesome loving kid, but riddled with impulsivity and meltdowns due to SPD and ADHD.

We were reluctant to use meds, but after a well respected early childhood psychologist, and a social skills program that she went to 5 days a week both suggested that it would help, we decided to try. She's been almost kicked out of 2 preschools, and had a lot of problems at home. She's started her 1st 2 weeks of kindergarten with NO problems!!!

Man this drug is so expensive though. Even with a $60 discount card I got off the focalin website it is still $100 a month!! But she has had no adverse side effects and is doing great. So even though the cost is a struggle, it is worth it. She can't swallow pills yet - so our options are limited anyway. The focalin can be opened and taken in a spoonful of applesauce. Again, I know it's worth it, but paying for it gets a knot in my stomach!
