Hello all I'm new here. I was searching for a message board for ADHD parents and this came up and I'm hoping I can find some BTDT experience.

DS just started taking Intuniv 1mg about 2 months ago. He's ADD (inattentive), ODD, and Anxiety NOS so we wanted to go with a non-stimulant to start. He's been handling it pretty well and it's made a significant positive impact on his school experience but just tonight he started complaining of single sided testicular pain. He said it even hurts when his underwear brushes against. it.

I know there are some genitourinary side effects to Intuniv so I've been really pushing the liquids on him. Nothing looks abnormal and I'll get him in to the doctor first thing in the morning but I wondered if I could find anyone who might have some previous experience along these lines.

Thank you.

Hi,,I just saw your post. I am hoping you are still around and can give some feed back after talking to your Dr. Is he doing better now?

This was the first med. we tried with my son. It seemed the "safest" to start with. We didn't have that issue, but his blood pressure got dangerously low and we had to stop using it. What we did notice was that it did work, but the doctor told us it is one of those meds that won't work for the long run. Good luck.
