Have you had any criticism from family members, regarding your decision to have a cesarean?

I haven't, thank goodness... My Dad's family probably judged me, but they were good enough to keep it to themselves

Well, my c-section was an emergency one, so I haven't really had anyone judge me for that. I'm not sure if anyone will judge me if I decide to have another one with our second child, but we'll see. I hope not, but who knows.

No definitely no criticism. My family is more worried that me and baby will be ok. That's all they care about.

Nope. If anything, I get comments that I "had it easy" because I didn't have to push a baby out.

My mum was pushing for me to have a csection when we found out Noah was breech, after delivering 2 breech babies herself naturally with no drugs. She never had the option of a csection and had horrible labours. And although I think she think's I'm a bit of a wimp for choosing to have a repeat this time around she's supportive of my reasons. The worst 'criticism' I've received is my friends and family joking that I'm 'too posh to push!' but thats just friendly banter.

Not not really. My stepdad has asked me twice now why am I choosing another c-section instead of a vaginal birth and when I give my answer he just says " oh ok" in kind of a tone that lets me know he still doesn't get my choice.

There was some ciriticism. But not over the c-section. I was going to attempt a VBAC and I got lots of criticism for that.

On the first section no one judged me. I went overdue and a US showed the baby as being over 11 lbs. At 4'9", no one gave me a hard time, no one sane anyway! On the second one, the one I had wanted a vbac on, again she was going to be large so no one passede judgement. Like I said if anything people gave me a ahrd time for wanting a vbac.

Thanks Ryan and Alex's mommy for the siggy!

None. The only thing people gave me a hard time about was my plans prior to delivery to go natural.

Nope, I think many of the women in my family had a c-section so it's no biggie.
