If you've had a c/s, is your incision vertical or horizontal?
If you're yet to have a c/s, do you know if you'll have a vertical or horizontal incision?
If you're having or had a vertical incision, what was the reason?

both of my c/s were horizontal incisions

My c/s is a horizontal incision but larger than most womens'. I was cut from hip bone to hip bone to get Allison out as quickly as possible!

Thanks to Claire1979 for the terrific siggy!

I had a horizontal incision that was really small. The scar is maybe 1 1/2 inches long, and is very low on my pelvic bone. I was completely healed up about a week after the surgery, and I really believe the tiny incision has a lot to do with it!

Mine is horizontal. It is a bit higher up than normal and crooked. Due to very high fluid, my uterus was distended and heavily leaning to the right side so there was no way to make a perfect incision. It Doesn't bother me though.

Mine is horizontal. I figure this one will be too. I assume she will just cut the same place she did last time.

Horizontal. The first time I seen it, I was shocked at how small the incision was. I can't believe he fit out of it!

Mine's horizontal and a little off center. It's pretty long and still purple!

My incision is horizontal and mostly healed on my left side but still noticeable on my right. Megan was mostly on my right so I am not too surprised.

With my first it was the bikini cut. I had the classic cut with number two. I have no idea about number three. The outside was horizontal, but not sure about the inside. I assume is was horizontal as well.

Mine is a horizontal, small cut that is really low. I can wear a bikini without it being seen! I am very pleased with the job my OB did. Next time, he will go in through the same cut.

I had an external horizontal cut but an internal upside-down T cut for my first. I had complete previa with him and the horizontal incision cut into my placenta so my doc had to do vertical as well. Second was horizontal for both.
