can you TTC again (successfully) while breastfeeding? What I mean by successfully, is without having a huge risk of miscarriage or preterm birth. DH and I are considering having a 4th but if we do we want to get pregnant ASAP after DS #2 is born (he's due pretty much any day now). So, any and all advice is greatly appreciated!

I don't think that the BF'ing would bother a pregnancy unless you're susceptible to PTL or would have a m/c of that pregnancy anyway. I think the bigger problem lies in how soon will your fertility actually come back. That can range a lot from woman to woman. Some can exclusively breastfeed and get their cycle back (though that's not necessarily indicative of fertility) quickly, and some don't for over a year. It just depends on you.

Good luck!!

me too. i didnt start my period for seven months after i gave birth, and even then i didnt ovulate for a couple more months after that time. my luteal phase has only recently become 10 days, enough for a viable pregnancy... and ive been BF for 2 years almost! but but but, i have a friend who had her baby at the same time as me, was also BF as much as me, and just gave birth to her second so you never know!
good luck with everything
love axxx
