I have been reading about this and I am curious to see who uses it and what you use it for. I always thought it was just a Canon feature but I have discovered that Nikons have it too, Canon just coined the "back button focus" name so Nikon can't refer to it as that.

I just got all my settings configured so I can use it but I havent had a chance to play yet.

Always use it! Made a big difference in the amount of photos that come out sharp and in focus. It was a little learning curve, but once you get used to it, it feels so much better.
