I just got my new D7000 and am having trouble with auto focus. I've read the manual and tried everything. I haven't found anything helpful on any forums either. I have tried both D & G lenses. When I hold the AF-mode button and rotate either the sub-command dial or main command dial, it does not display anything in the viewfinder and will only display single-point AF in the control panel. I've tried it on 2 lenses and on several different settings. Nothing is allowing me to auto focus my AF 50 1.8 or my 55-200 AF-S lens. The focus-mode selector is on AF. I cleaned the contacts on my 50. What could I be doing wrong?
Thanks to Graysmama for the siggy!

Ok, is it just with these 2 lenses...do you have other lenses that do auto focus? And do you have the switch on the front of the camera set to AF?

Thank you to *Kiliki* for the pretty siggy!
