I am at work and I am so bored! My DH and I carpooled together and I can't leave! Soooo ready to get out of here! So I figured I'd update y'all on my IVF cycle:

9/2 First sonogram - no cysts so good
9/5 Started lupron (I was so scared and it ended up being so.......easy)
9/9 Stopped BCP
9/12 Baseline sonogram - everything looked good
9/14 Started Gonal F
9/17 Sonogram - everything looked good - 3 follies at 10mm and several others in the 3-7mm range
9/20 Next sono
Trigger and retrieval set for sometime next week! Transfer set for 5 days later (I'm doing PGD so 5 days to transfer rather than 3)

Some days I am really excited and some days I feel like this won't work either. Nevertheless it's babies, babies, babies on my mind 24/7. It's all so consuming. It's all I ever think about anymore - will this work, will this not work, will we get a BFP and then have another m/c, could I carry a baby if we had donated sperm or eggs, are we going to have to adopt. The days can't pass fast enough.

Is anyone else on the meds super tired and super emotional? I am exhausted all the time. I am sleep an extra hour or two every night. And my emotions are everyone - one minute I'm crying, the next I'm fine.

Sorry for the rant. I just needed to get it out.

Nicole - I know this must be very tough on you. Add to that all of the medications that mess with your feelings & I know I would be a mess. I think all the things you are worrying about & feeling are to be expected given all you have been through & what you are getting ready to go through. It's all so tough & someone that has never been in any of this can hardly begin to conceptualize how all consuming it really can become. I have heard so many people talk about how others are obsessed with getting pg - or so focused on it that it "isn't healthy", etc - but never once have I heard someone that has had a difficult time getting or staying pg be critical of how much it can mean to someone trying so hard to get there. It seems the only ones who don't understand why would try so hard are those that didn't have to try hard in the first place. I hope that make sense. Anyway - I wish you all the best & I really do believe if you stay the course you ARE going to get your miracle girl - it's just a long, tough road getting there for many of us.

You have a lot to be emotional about already and the meds definitely do not help! It sounds like IVF is going well for you so far. I hope this gets you the little sticky baby that you deserve so much. KUP

Praying all goes well for you this week. It sounds promising so far. I'm glad the lupron wasn't as bad as you expected. The meds will certainly make you emotional, as if your history and just the excitement and nervousness of the process wasn't enough to do that already! Hang in there. It will be worth it.
