First of all there was a mis-communication on his donor. The donor is a 9/10 match. buit the doctor feels this is still wonderful and we feel very confident. And in all technicallity as one nurse pointed out, they looked at 6 arms, so its a 11/12 match.

So here is the plan...

Sept 27 - remove port and place hickman line, start fludarabine
28 - Fludarabine
29 - fludarabine and rATG
30 - fludarabine and rATG
Oct 1 - Fludarabine and rATG
2 - Melphalan and rATG
3 - no chemo, start prograf
4 - Marrow Infusion
5 - methotrexate (to help prevent gvhd)
7 - Methotrexate
10 - Methotrexate

His pre-transplant tests came back showing a healthy little boy, no problems there. Kidneys are on the low side of normal and he has a mild sinus infection but otherwise he's good.

AND........ the best news of the day.....

IF all goes well and IF Joey runs into no major complications we might be discharged HOME instead of to campus housing! That means I MIGHT be home for the holidays. I CRIED tears of Joy!!!

So histio... get ready because YOUR GOING DOWN!!!
