So we just lost our third and had to have our second d & c. Dr wants to do some testing but we haven't gone over what exact testing we will be doing yet. I'm sure we will be going over that at my next appt in about 2 weeks. What testing should I expect?

There is a sticky with the tests that can be done. Your Dr will probably start with blood work, there's a lot of it.

Yes, lots and lots and lots of blood work, maybe a few peeks at your uterus with ultrasound to look for growths and what not. Nothing too scary at first!

I've had two late miscarries, my second was twins. I went to a RE and the first step (like mentioned above) is blood testing. Then an ultrasound to check your uterus and eggs. Mine all come back normal. Usually after that they want to test your dh's sperm. Then if that comes back good, they go back for more testing on your uterus. My dh and I never got to that step because he was military and gone a lot. We decided to stop trying for awhile. I ended up getting a surprise pregnancy and my doctor put me on progesterone and that did the trick. So I've never been through a full work up but what i did go through was easy and painless. I wish you the best of luck!
