Ladies, I just really need some support from you all tonight.. I was driving home with my mom from dropping a friend off at her apartment, and witnessed a horrible car accident.. The car directly in front of me got slammed by a car running a red light.. I am just so shaken up.. It could have been me, and I just can't stop shaking.. Plus, I'm supposed to be leaving tomorrow for a conference in Boston, driving for over 300 miles from PA.. I'm so scared.. I don't even know how I can get in a car again.. I mean, is it even safe for me to TRY to tackle a trip that long?! I don't even know.... AAAHHH!!! I'm sorry I was just in need of some extra TLC tonight.. Thanks for listening..

Oh how terrible. You were blessed girl, you are gonna be just fine. You gotta go b/c it wasn't you. If you know what I mean. Say a prayer for the folks who were in the accident and their families and thank God for protecting you and yours. I can't imagine seeing something like that.

Hun I know it can be already a little daunting to take along car trip - especially alone (not sure if you are going alone or not). I end up driving a LOT of miles, pretty much entirely alone..and at times I am more nervous for sure. I just say a little prayer/meditation before I leave & repeat it as often as needed on the road. I am sorry you had to see something so unnerving, particularly the night before a trip, that certainly doesn't help matters. I will think of you tomorrow while I am on the road as well & you can know that you aren't out there alone.

I am so sorry you had to witness that. I say all the time that being so emotionally conected to others is both a curse and a blessing...a blessing because it makes us empathetic, loving, and kind...but a curse because it also makes us feel pain too close for comfort at times. i pray that you feel better today and that your trip is worthwhile and healing.
