I'm not having one, at least not that I know of. But a good friend of mine is having one next week, and she's really freaked out. Have any of you ladies had one, and you can tell me anything about it? They're worried that she has endemitrosis...

*Thank you so much to Jaidynsmum for my beautiful siggy!*

I've had 2-actually one just last monday.....i had mine for ectopic pregnancies though-so i dont know that its the same, but Im sure it is....I was "out of it" both times, just emotionally, physically and in pain so i didnt care and wasnt all nervous about it....but the recovery isnt TERRIBLE....its just that they do 3 incisions and the one is right in the belly button and thats not too fun, bc thats where your core muscles are and you do all your moving/bending with....but its been 9 days and im up walking, driving, etc.....I feel better-still a lil bit "tight" after I walk around when ive been sitting for a while.....

Hi there, i've had two as well. The first one was for my septum removal and while they were in there they found I had endometriosis as well...it wasn't too bad of a surgery. Rocovery for me was about a week. the anesthisa is always the hardest part for me. let her know it's fairly easy to go through, she will LOVE not having painful periods any longer (endometriosis makes your cycle VERY hard but after surgery no more cramps!), and my scars are really tiny...can't even see them unless I point them out. I wish her the best.

laproscopy is an amazing procedure regardless of the reason. It revolutionized abdominal surgeries. I had one at 17 years old to remove my gall bladder. I was back to school in less than a week. I held a blanket on my belly to stand up and sit down the first 2-3 days. After that I was fine. The scars are tiny and fade fast. Just tell her to avoid sun on them for the first summer after surgery because that can increase discoloration. I am so amazed by this procedure that I asked for a copy of the video and I still have it. I've seen the inside of me!!!!
