Haven't seen an update on her in a while, though I think she was doing pretty well last time. Has she started the radiation yet? If so, how's she tolerating it? I know you can't be around her for a while after her treatments, but figure you're still keeping in touch. Let us know how she's doing. I know I'm not the only one looking for an update.

Awwww thank you honey! She id doing great. She starts radiation on Monday and will have treatments all next week..then I will have 11 days following that I cannot see her. She is scared - as there is no way they can 100% tell her how she will respond, but typically they don't expect any severe reactions. I don't know if I updated to say that we had rginally thought they took 13 lymph nodes. What we misunderstood was that they thought 13 were cancerous & took 95. Well - 10 were cancerous - the rest were completely clear - the other 3 they thought were cancerous had growths that were benign. They estimate (not sure how) that she had the cancer for probably about 3 yrs. I wish it could have been caught soooo much sooner. I am just glad they caught it when they did. They said it was attempting to grow into her carotid (sp?) artery I believe & had it been able to do that - they said it likely would have been too late & they estimate it would have been soon - weeks to months. VERY scary. BUT - her scans since curgery have been clear & the radiation is preventative at this point to ensure that everything is gone. She is pretty freaked still - doesn't quite seem to have a grasp on it...but getting there. I am sure it will be easier after she gets through radiation & doesn't have that looming anymore. Thank you all for the prayers & support. It means a ton!

I bet she is freaked. I can't imagine dealing with such a scary diagnosis at such a young age. God is definitely taking care of her, though, to have kept the cancer out of her artery and for her recovery so far to have gone so well. I'll continue my prayers for her during her radiation treatment and recovery. Hopefully it won't be as bad as she's anticipating.

Thanks for the update. She's got lots of cyber-aunts keeping an eye on her.
