I thought some of you might be interested in showing your SO's this documentary when it comes out. The trailer is 10 minutes long and really good. I almost cried. Sometimes I don't understand why things have to be so complicated...

I'm so excited to see that- I think it'll be really good. I saw the trailor a while ago- it looks extreme- my area hospitals aren't that bad.

That's good to know, it was scary just watching some of the clips from hospitals, but I think it's just most extreme cases. My best friend just had a baby in a hospital (the one I am going to use with my doula), and it wasn't like that....
The fact that any of that kind of behavior going on in any hospital is appalling though... no one should have to deal with that kind of stress in such a happy time.

OMG that pissed me off! That poor baby and mommy and daddy. That was absolutely traumatic.

oh goodness gracious. that was terribly upsetting. i know if i am transferred to the hospital, and the midwife comes, i believe she does everything in her power to keep the baby with you and she does the asessment (unless it is c section, etc). It is so important to ALWAYS be your own advocate and EDUCATE yourself. In this, and everything else.

I haven't had a chance to watch it yet...10 minutes for a preview alone, haha. wow.

I had my daughter in a hospital and my hubby actually caught her. We had a great experience. But I know we were very lucky.
