There is a NCB class offered through my hospital (in addition to the one at my midwifery practice) that teaches the Mongan Method of Hypnobirthing. It's 240$ so I can't afford this AND the home-study. I have heard some people criticize this method as not very effective. Can anyone offer advice as to whether this course in person would be better or less effective than the homestudy?

Thanks guys!

My daughter is perfect, but her birth was not. If you or someone you love is struggling to cope with a traumatic childbirth experience, please visit http://www.solaceformothers.org/

I took that class through my hospital and I loved it. It worked very well for me. But I know others who took it and it did not work for them. Hypnobabies is known to have a better success rate then hypnobirthing (the Mongan method).

This is the class I took through the hospital I delivered my first at. I LOVED it! It worked very well for me with both my boys. DH's cousin did this too and had a lot of success with it.
