Has anyone used one or plan to use one? Or even know any one that used one for labor pain?

I was asked before labor began if I'd be interested. To be honest it scared me more than labor did! I hate anything touching me or poking me or which looks medical. I have heard some people swear by it, though.

I need to remember to ask my midwife about this. I'd be interested in using it, but want more info.

We learned about it at our doula training and were able to see what it feels like (our doula trainer brought hers). It's supposed to be really helpful because it blocks the pain receptacles in your spine so they don't relay the message of pain to your brain.
