It's a tough choice!!! I would pick who I felt more comfortable with, but I'm aving a homebirth. If I were planning a hospital birth experience would be more important to me.

Well, since she is there to be your support during a very intimate and intense time, I would personally go with the person I felt more comfortable with. And then next time she'll have more experience!

Well, would the longer experience give you added comfort or would you truly be more comfortable with the other one? I'm assuming you're not UNcomfortable with the more experienced doula so just think about if you're going to be worried about the lack of experience with the doula you feel comfortable with. Jeez does that make sense?

Nature is there for you.

What kinds of things are you looking for in a doula? If you list them out that might help you decide. You can do it here if you want and we can help.

I had this same thing happen to me...had to chose between two Doulas and kind of felt the same exact way.

I went with the one I "clicked" with better...I figured I will be going through such an intense time with this person...showing my most sensative and raw side of myself to this person. I am not a frist time mom so the experience part didn't factor in as much...but honestly I think comfort will make all the difference when the time comes.
