I just got back from the doctor to get the full results of all of my tests and bloodwork. I am completely fine! All of my hormone levels are perfectly fine and both the SIS and HSG came back completely normal too.

She suggested just being patient and then if we decide in 6-12 months to have medical intervention, they would do medication like Clomid (or another with less side effects - can't remember the name) and direct insemination.

Stefan & I are mulling over things and will talk more tonight. But so far I think we'll continue to go for things naturally until maybe after the 1st of the year or next spring and then reassess.

As far as getting immunizations to begin hospital doula work, she suggested just waiting 1-2 cycles. She said they error on the side of caution but really even if I did get pregnant soon after a vaccination it is unlikely to cause serious damage. So preventing for 1 cycle, maybe 2, should be just fine. I will talk with Stef more about this tonight.

So there's nothing wrong with me, which is great news and I admit a little frustrating too. But looking forward it only points to good things. There's no reason we can't get pregnant, at least nothing that is able to be seen now. So we'll just keep on keeping on and hope we get a lovely surprise soon.

It is, but I've got to look at it positively. As far as we know, there's no reason we can't get pregnant. Which means we WILL get pregnant! :-)

Oh, and I just got 3 months of Fertilaid and I'm going to also order their CM enhancer supplement too. The stars will align!!!!!!!

Congrats sweets! Excuse me for being in the dark, I'm sure you've talked about it before but I don't know the entire story. Just wondering - have you tried acupuncture? I've heard so many good things.

P, you crack me up!

Chrystal, yes I did 3 months of acupuncture earlier this year. Loved it but the expense started to be too much. I may revisit it again down the road though.

Oh and besides also getting the CM Enhancer from Fertilaid I got the 2 months of the Men's supplement too. I can't get Stefan to take a daily supplement to save my life but he said he will gladly take these if it will help us get pregnant. He doesn't have the low sperm count/motility that it's usually taken for, but hopefully it can still increase amount and quality and that will be a good thing.

I am a little worried about the women's Fertilaid. I've read a few reviews that if you already have normal cycles that it can mess that up. A couple of people said it made them NOT ovulate until they stopped taking it.

Meredith, I know you took these. Were you regular before you started? And did it change your cycle?

Sorry JaQ, I just saw this. We've been off the pill since Dec 2007. There have been a few months we didn't "try" but never did we prevent. I hope I join you in 2010 too. It would be lovely if the HSG cleared everything out and we become one of the lucky statistics that gets pregnant within a few months of the HSG. I just started my Fertilaid supplements and CM Enhancer today and DH will start the mens one tonight. So fingers crossed!

Good luck, Shauna!!!! That's great news that nothing is wrong. I'm sorry you've been trying so long, but I firmly believe that babies come to the right parents when they are ready and not before. There's a reason it hasn't happened yet and it may not be a bad thing at all. I know how hard it is to really want a baby, but there's something preventing it. (((hugs))) I know I'm new around here, but I have a really strong feeling you'll be preggers soon!

Thank you Del! I know there's got to be some reason too. One thing for sure, it provided plenty of time for me to become a birth junkie and figure out I wanted to be a part of this world as a doula. If I had gotten pregnant right away I probably wouldn't be on this path, well not exactly anyway. And now that all of my friends have already had their babies, I've got TONS of baby stuff freebies coming my way! I like to find the bright side if possible. It nicely counteracts my pessimism.

^ That is exactly how I feel! Had I not been through all the struggles, I don't know that ///i'd have found my calling in birthwork. My miscarriages really started me on this path.

I typed out a long reply, and I'm so frusturated not to see it here! I really attribute the natural things we did with helping us concieve, and by that time we were also having unexplained IF. The organic foods, bioflavenoids, soy isoflavenoids and the vitex really helped for us. (If you're interested in more things to do!)

Vitex in liquid format is easier for your body to process, fyi
