I have read that some of the herbs can cause an increase in blood pressure. Is this true of EPO? I ask because I started taking 1300 mg orally at about 35.5 weeks and at my 36 week appt my blood pressure was up to 135/75 from an avg of 120/60. Not what you'd call truly "high" yet, but it's making me worry a bit. Anyone know if these could be related? Or is it just that I'm 9 MONTHS PREGNANT and a rise in BP is normal at this point...

in my quick google search it seems to say that EPO can help reduce high blood pressure, but I am no expect on the topic.

I would suggest upping your protein intake (a great way is to eat cottage cheese, hard boil some eggs and keep them around for snacks) lower your salt intake and up your water as well. These things can make a big difference.

having protein at every meal and snack is the best idea

I have been taking 1000mg of EPO for about 2-3 weeks and the past couple of days have increased it to 2000mg and my BP has been normal....
*9 weeks * 4/11/13
*5 weeks * 6/22/13
