this was posted in my DDC and I thought it was worth posting here. Of course winter is almost over (right???) but it's worth knowing.

I feel like the craptastic mother of the year right now because I sort of forgot this- and Cadie has been wearing her big thick coat in her carseat all winter!!

That's a great post, I've been doing that trick with Abby's coat this winter where I pull it out the side and buckle the straps. The car is usually warmed up, so I dont' re-zip it around her, but it saves me from having to take her coat off completely. Anna wears a light fleece bunting so I just put her straps on over that and I feel it's safe. (It's no thicker than a fleece pullover) Thanks for posting, it's a great reminder!
