Before I got pregnant I went in to a male OB for an exam. He made me feel SO uncomfortable! It was just me and him in the room alone- no nurse and he DIDN'T WEAR GLOVES!! And he kept telling me to "relax, just relax". Totally creeped me out and I have never wanted to go to another one. Plus my mom had all male OBs. Something about her feeling that women were all jerks trying to see you in pain so she went to all men. All of her births were horrible!!
Married 7 years to my wonderful Dh

Mommy to 6 year old Emily and 3 year old Lindsey!

Erm, the no gloves thing is pretty icky. That deserves a call to a higher authority, there.

I flat out prefer males. I feel that their bedside manner is better, and I've never had one argue with me about what I know my body is experiencing.

Much thanks to Alethia for my beautiful siggie and tags!!

Before my midwife I was more comfortable with male doctors but my midwife was obviously female and I was soo comfortable with her. Now, I wouldn't even consider seeing an OB so female, midwife.
