Hello. I'm not new to JM, but just recently restarted my account. I'm pregnant with baby number 4. Due around the middle of January. We found out that she's a girl, so we'll have 2 girls, 2 boys. We're very excited, and have already started getting ready for her arrival. I plan to have a natural birth in a birth center. It will be my first natural birth, and I'm extremely nervous. I'm hoping to find lots of support here, and learn as much as I possibly can. Can't wait to get to know you all.

welcome! I'm Cheryl, co-host here and mommy to Acadia and Vivian- 2 1/2 and 3 months.

What makes you decide on a natural birth this time? Is your caregiver natural friendly? What about the hospital? These are important things to find out and consider.

Check the subforum here for lots of good info, links, sites, articles.

I have a midwife for the first time, and she runs the only natural birth center in town. After the births of my previous children, I wasn't happy with the experience. It was never relaxing, and my previous doctor never really cared what I wanted. After the birth of my 3rd child, my uterus turned inside out. It was believed to have happened because the doctor wasn't taking her time, and tugged on the cord. The doctor said she didn't know why it happened, but she's glad she fixed it, or I would've bled out. So, honestly, the whole process has me horrified, but I figured this time around, I would find a caregiver that was about me and what I wanted, and was in no hurry. So far, so good.

Hi and welcome!! I'm the other co-host of the board. My name is Bethany and I'm mommy to Kaily, Kelly and Kate. All 3 were NCB's, the last being a home birth. I am so glad you found a new providor you seem to like and hopefully will get the relaxing birth you want!
