dh has some down time and no internet at work (well, slow internet that is monitored ) so he has been bringing books to read. he finished his book but didn't have time to stop by the library before work, so i suggested he bring "Natural Childbirth the Bradley Way." so my surprise, he actually read about 1/4 of it while at work. i asked him what he thought, and his response was pretty funny: "why is every guy in that book shirtless and wearing really short shorts, even the drawings are shirtless!"
but in all seriousness i am so happy that he is actually reading it and he's really excited about having a natural birth.

My DH hasn't read a book since required reading in college (prob. 10 years). His eyes bugged out of his head when I gave him 'The Birth Partner's to read, complaining about font size and the overall size of the book. I finally took It from him, read it, and marked all the parts I wanted him to read. I'm not sure He's finished yet. I also gave him the Bradley book which he has read at least half of. He's tortured by the reading, but definitely understands the importance. Since he's been reading the Bradley book, he has also started being more cuddly with me. He's not really touchy feeling, but I told him I need it, especially will during labor and that I refuse to be the only person in our house that doesn't get physical affection. He's very cuddly with SS and will be with the baby and I was getting really jealous! So the reading has done good things for everyone! Wonder if he'll finish!
Thank you GraysMama for my amazing siggy!

That's so awesome!!! about his comment, totally sounds like what my dh would say too. Mine won't read the books, but he'll sit and listen to me detail things, which is fine by me.
