I was just thinking about my first labor. I felt like I knew everything there ever was to know about giving birth and I was ready. I had my war paint on. I didn't expect ANYTHING to happen "by the book", I was fully prepared to be pregnant for 42wks and blah blah blah. I knew my dilation meant jack, I knew that if I lost my plug it'd probably regrow, I knew that prelabor can last for days so I didn't pay attention.

And lo and behold......I had the by the book freaking labor Woke up, lost my plug, cpl hours later prelabor started, active labor started the next day and Kailey was here by that evening. Oh, and I was 39wks 6days

Ironic that you prepare for NOT having a "by the book" labor and then you get it
