I only had one choice unless I wanted to go 2+ hours away. Made the decision quite easy.

~Heather, wife to Jamie (15 years; June 5, 1998) and mom to
Ani - 14 (February 15, 2000), Cameron - 12 (October 3, 2001),
Fritz - 7 (July 11, 2006), and Adrian - 5 (June 19, 2008)

Theres also only one in my area, and its an hour away. If I had several to choose from, Id look at the MW's their transfer rate, their backup dr, their backup hospital, etc.

Id also prefer a freestanding center.

I looked for a jacuzzi tub and really good shower. lol

There are a few free standing birth centers in southern NH I only saw the one that the midwife I was working with worked in. I was planning to deliver at home. The tubs there had me in a big cnflict though they looked so
much better than my blow up fishy pool. lol
