For a little backstory: I'm Sara. I've had two NCB's in a hospital with my awesome midwife and am about to have my third. I'm not quite a lurker here but I certainly don't have as much time to post as I used to.

My first birth came as a surprise at 37w 5d when my water broke...I was fully expecting to go past my due date since she was my first. But nope. She was posterior and took 3 hours to push out but was totally worth it! My second birth came as not so much of a surprise...also at 37w 5d. Joel was a big boy, 9.12, but positioned right so he came quickly and easily.

Fast forward to now...36 weeks along with #3. At my midwife appointment yesterday I asked her to check me, mostly because I have nothing against it and because I'm nosy, lol I wanted to know what's going on in there. I am 2cm dilated and 50% effaced, which is exactly what I was with Joel at 36 weeks. So it looks like I'm on track to deliver sometime in the 37th week, as usual. The baby is big (as usual ), and low, so I'm having a lot of pressure and prodromal labor. The midwife estimated he is about 8 pounds now, which sounds about right based on my other births. DH and I have been having lots of sex and I've been nesting like crazy, so I don't think it will be much longer.

Anyway, just wanted to update you guys so that the birth announcement and story wouldn't come as a complete surprise ("Who is this person exactly?" ). I am loving reading the new birth stories and 'lurking'. Hope you're all doing well!
