I want to be kneeling resting my arms against the bed which has the head of it up at 90 degree angle (if that makes sense)

I get ya!
Almost like kneeling in a birthing pool with your head rested one the side. That was how I wanted to have Kae. I'm boring though all my kids were born semi reclined. I tried a birthing stool with Ashlie but didn't like it at all and I almost had kae walking from the tib to the bed (see my birth story. lol) but alas they were all born in the semi recline.

I picked other. It all depends on what feels right at the time. I delivered Cameron flat on my back. He birthed himself, I never pushed. I ended up delivering Fritz on my left side. I pushed sitting up and on my hands and knees as well.

I chose hands and knees because I wish I could have delivered my first in that position. He was posterior and that position would have made everything sooooo much easier. This baby is NOT posterior, and I'm 38 weeks, so hopefully he stays put!

I don't know, the modified squat was really nice with my posterior babe - and really comfortable. But my pushing when a baby is NOT posterior is so fast I think I would be worried of it being TOO fast. I like the frog position. I will have to see what feels right at the time.

I chose other - although I have no experience with childbirth (this is my first) I am in the frame of mind that all powers allowing I want the freedom to move around and change positions as labour allows and demands.

i squatted for most of it in the pool, which was lovely, then moved into the semi-reclined position, but then when i got onto my knees, and had my hands in front of me on the side of the pool, that was the position for me!! i loved it, and i just know that i felt the best like that.

I chose squatting, but I plan to play it by ear. I will likely end up in a modified/sitting squat.

For me right now I am thinking squatting. Who knows when I get there, but I love to squat through out my pregnancy. It takes the weight off my back and helps with pressure. Whenever I can I squat. So I am just thinking what a nice way that would be to birth. Since I was on my back in a painful possition last time. Stupid numb legs! I hope I can avoid all that this next time.
