Hi ladies! I've been lurking a few weeks and thought it was time I joined in I recognize a few names, but am excited to get to know more of you.

My name is Mari and we are expecting number 10 with a due date of May 4th. I'm about 27 weeks along, time is flying. Our oldest is 12 and our youngest is 16 months, no twins yet. We have 5 boys and 4 girls and they are pretty sure this little one is a girl, but not 100%. More of not seeing boy parts. Not a big deal to us either way, we obviously have clothes for both, hehe.

I have done pain med free births with all of them. I've had pitocin with two of them and hope to not have to do that again. My last 4 births were waterbirths, which I loved. But I have now switched doctors and waterbirths are not available there, so sad. So now I'm starting to feel a little panicy about birth

My last 4 births I've had my water broken to start labor at about 39 weeks. The only reason I did this is for medical reason, my kidneys swell up to 5 times normal size for a pg lady and we are a little concerned for them to have to carry baby much longer than needed. I had kidney surgery when I was 5, so it is definately a weaker spot for me. But I hope you will have me, even if my birth isn't 100% natural. We just feel the need to protect those kidneys as much as we can

I have a new doctor, so I'm not sure what that will mean for my birth. I have birthed all 9 in a hospital and have had great success there, although number 3 almost was born in the van .

Hope to get to know you all! Sorry it got so long.

Hello! I think it's great that you're looking to have a natural birth even with your health concerns because a lot of folks would have looked at that and not tried at all. Have fun!
