Has anyone had an en caul birth?

I am curious to see if #3 will be en caul.

Kailey's water never broke. I was 10cm and even still... 2 hrs later my water was in tact and my MW broke it.

With Nola my MW broke the water as I was pushing (and I only did 2 pushes I think).

I wonder if this baby can be born en caul if I have this MW leave my waters alone!!

Yes, my last was born in the caul. It was really neat! My Mom caught the baby and the miwdwife brought him to my chest and broke his water. We have pictures of the sack being lifted over his face.

I was soooooo close this last time!!! I was 9 1/2 cm with water still intact. I unfortunately was just not progressing. My contractions disappeared and we were just sitting around chilling for about 4 hours at the same spot. Finally we agreed to break it but it didn't help much lol.

I never have but that's my goal this time! I do not want to have anyone break my water! If it breaks on it's own so be it, but it never has. I tried with my last baby but I caved at 9.5cm and let them break it and it really made the last 20 minutes if my labor miserable so I really really don't want to let them touch my water this time.

My water tends to break during pushing. My first the midwife broke it a few minutes before she was born and said it was really hard to break and she thinks my baby would have been born en caul. Kinda sad to miss that

My MW broke mine at 8 cm when I began to push. Things progressed so fast I really didn't have an opinion about it at the time.
Expecting #3 in January 2016!

My water breaks during pushing too. I've seen several caul births and caught one baby in the caul (born face first!). It's neat to see!

Mine broke just after I started feeling the urge to push. I've seen pictures of babies born in the caul - pretty cool!

*Excitedly expecting baby girl number two!*

Thank you to Babydoll213 for my fabulous siggie!
