How much money did you pay for your classes, or if you went the reading route, what did you pay for all your books? Did you think this was expensive?

I took Bradley classes. I paid 100 dollars for the class. I also got the books, and paid about 30 dollars for them. If you add in all the other birth and pregnancy stuff I read you can probably say I spent 150 all together.

With my first, the class was offered free through my midwife's office, so I didn't pay anything for it and I found it quite useful!

This time around though, they aren't offering the class, so I'm not sure. I think I might go rent a couple books from teh library, but I dont' know.

$175 for childbirth classes (worth it)
$40 approx on books

My husband and I both felt the class could of been a day and a half, rather than a full two days. We had both done a lot of reading so pretty much everything was review - but it was nice to have it all reinforced. We didn't even cover everything... but that was because there were two really annoying women who had to comment on everything. I would of paid an extra 50 bucks just to be in a different class without them.

I didn't take classes and read books from the library. We have an awesome public library system. In addition, I read about a zillion birth stories online which really helped me feel emotionally prepared.

I read a couple of books at Borders. Didn't buy them and I didn't take the classes. So, I spent nothing but I still say I did the Bradley Method.

My midwife recommended a free birthing class, but it was through a hospital, so I didn't think that a lot of the information would be useful to me. I just went to the library and checked out some books.

I didn't take any classes. I've done a lot of online research and borrowed books from friends, so I haven't spent anything but still feel very prepared for this childbirth.
